Hello, everybody! Let me introduce myself – I am Andrey Negustorov, a musician from Russia, Belgorod.
I originally planned to post my stuff on various international music platforms, including possible interactions with colleagues and even occasional collaborations, so I named my project the “Andrew N Project”, shortening my last name to a capital “N”.
The music that I play is something like a hybrid. However, what kind of hybrid I can’t define exactly: maybe psychedelic/progressive/experimental rock with fragmentary elements of symphony music? I really don't know, but I don't really attach much importance to it. What I can definitely assert is the following: my music is instrumental music based on rock because of its distinctive sound and I do not try to imitate anybody else. I have my own creative ideas in my mind and, fortunately, I know the method of transferring them via sounds. This is quite enough, especially considering that I do not motivated to compete – I am not trying to look better than I really am.
About my creative technology.
In my time, I made several attempts to create a professional team, but to no avail. What was the reason? I think it was very difficult to find and organize the musicians who would have been skillful enough and could have thought in a similar manner. Therefore, I was forced to make a decision to go through all the stages of work on the creation of musical material on my own: in addition to guitar I had to record bass and keyboards, to program drum lines as well as perform tasks associated with sound engineering. As a result, I was unwittingly involved into the category called “one man band”, and I really liked it. Yes, not a live drive, but at the same time a complete pleasure from the process of writing and recording music. Therefore, I found a reasonable compromise.
Just to crown it all, the main motive of making music for me is the need to realize the creative potential: just not to make “for” but to make “because of”.
